OnabotulinumtoxinA should be stored in the refrigerator at your healthcare provider's office. It comes as a dry powder that must be mixed with saline. After it is mixed, it should be used within four hours.

This medication is sold under the names "Botox" and "Botox Cosmetic." These products are exactly the same, except Botox Cosmetic is approved for frown lines, while regular Botox is approved for all other (noncosmetic) uses. Botox Cosmetic comes in 50- and 100-unit vials, while regular Botox comes in 100- and 200-unit vials.
