Drug Interactions With Vorinostat

Several products may cause drug interactions when combined with vorinostat. If this chemotherapy medication is taken with valproate medications, warfarin, or drugs that alter the heart rhythm, it may increase your risk for bleeding problems, a life-threatening arrhythmia, or other potentially serious problems. To minimize your risk, make sure your healthcare provider has a current list of any medications and supplements you are taking.

Clozapine
Taking vorinostat with clozapine may increase your risk for dangerously low white blood cells, which could cause serious infections. In general, these medicines should not be taken together. Talk to your healthcare provider about this potential interaction if you take clozapine. It is very important to not stop taking clozapine without first speaking to your healthcare provider.
