Side Effects of Terbinafine

Common terbinafine side effects include headache, diarrhea, or unexplained rash. Side effects that are less common include fatigue, serious skin reaction, or vomiting. Some side effects of the drug are potentially quite serious -- such as difficulty breathing or swallowing and hives -- and should be reported to your healthcare provider right away.

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with terbinafine hydrochloride (Lamisil®). However, not everyone who takes this drug will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, they are generally minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider.
