Zyclara Medication Information

Zyclara® (imiquimod cream) is a drug used to treat a precancerous skin condition called actinic keratosis (AK) in adults. This condition causes dry, scaly, precancerous patches on the skin. Zyclara is also approved for the treatment of external genital warts and perianal warts in people age 12 and older.
 
This medication comes as a skin cream. Dosing guidelines will vary, but will primarily depend on the condition being treated and whether you develop serious reactions to the drug. In general, the cream is usually applied at bedtime, left on for eight hours, and then washed off.
