Xolegel Medication Information

Xolegel® (ketoconazole gel) is used to treat seborrhea in adults and children as young as 12 years old. This medicated skin gel is a type of antifungal drug, and is thought to work by killing certain types of fungus that cause seborrhea. Specifically, this medicine can help treat seborrhea symptoms such as:
 
  • Bright-red inflammation
  • Yellow, oily scales
  • Pimple-like bumps.
