Tazarotene Foam Information

Applying tazarotene foam (Fabior®) once daily in the evening can help clear up acne in adults and children as young as 12 years old.

Tazarotene foam is a type of retinoid, and works by reducing inflammation and slowing down the rapid growth of skin cells. This drug can cause serious side effects and is extremely dangerous for pregnant women. As a result, women of childbearing potential must have a negative pregnancy test before using this product and use an effective form of birth control throughout treatment.

Although this acne medication is generally well tolerated, it is not suitable for everyone. Before using tazarotene foam, make sure your healthcare provider has up-to-date information on your medical history and a list of your current medications. In particular, make sure to let your healthcare provider know if you have problems like eczema or any allergies.
