The Hypodermis Layer of Skin

The hypodermis, also called the fatty skin layer, is located just below the dermis. This skin layer contains sweat glands, more collagen, and fat cells. The hypodermis is responsible for conserving your body's heat and for protecting the important organs inside of your body.
 

Skin: A Summary

In order to keep you and your body safe and healthy, your skin is constantly changing. In fact, your skin completely regenerates itself about every 27 days.
