Aquaphor Ointment Information
Many parents frequently use Aquaphor® Healing Ointment for the treatment and prevention of diaper rash. The product is commonly recommended for people with sensitive skin, as it is fragrance-free and preservative-free. Aquaphor ointment is also approved for:
- Temporarily protecting and relieving chapped or cracked lips or skin
- Protecting skin from the drying effects of cold weather and wind
- Temporarily protecting minor cuts, scrapes, and burns.
Aquaphor should be applied as often as necessary. When used to treat and prevent diaper rash, the ointment is applied after each diaper change, after allowing the skin to dry. When used for other purposes, simply apply Aquaphor to clean skin as often as needed. If the problem does not improve within seven days, or if it goes away but returns quickly, report this information to your healthcare provider.
