AbobotulinumtoxinA Drug Information

AbobotulinumtoxinA (Dysport®) is an injected medication used to treat "frown lines," as well as spasms of the head and neck. Typically, the effects of this drug last three to four months. You will need to get periodic injections in order to maintain the results.
 
Most people tolerate this drug well; however, side effects are possible and may include:
 
  • Muscle pain
  • Dry mouth
  • Difficulty swallowing.
