Mangosteen Drug Interactions
Mangosteen does not have any known drug interactions. However, this simply reflects the fact that medicinal use of mangosteen has been studied very little. It is quite possible that the product does interact with some medications but that such interactions have not yet been discovered. It should not be assumed that mangosteen does not interact with drugs simply because it is a fruit. After all, other fruits (such as grapefruit) are known to interact with several medications.
If you take mangosteen as a dietary supplement, make sure to include it when you list your medications and supplements for your healthcare provider. Make sure to tell your healthcare provider if you think you might be experiencing a drug interaction with mangosteen. Your healthcare provider will likely be interested in such possible interactions and may even want to report them in a medical journal.
