Desoximetasone spray is licensed for the treatment of plaque psoriasis in adults. This prescription medicine is applied to the affected areas of the skin twice daily. While most people who use this product do not experience problems with it, side effects are possible and may include dry skin, irritation, and itching.

 

What Is Desoximetasone Spray?

Desoximetasone spray (Topicort®) is a prescription skin medication. It belongs to a group of medications known as topical steroids and is approved to treat plaque psoriasis in adults. It is a very strong steroid.

Are There Side Effects?

Just like any medicine, desoximetasone spray may cause side effects. However, not everyone who uses the drug will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well.
 
If reactions do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
 
Common side effects of desoximetasone spray include but are not limited to:

  • Irritation
