Skin Home > Pediatric and Off-Label Indications for Cordran SP Cream

Can Children Use Cordran SP Cream?

Cordran SP Cream is not specifically approved for use in children. This drug is not approved to treat diaper rash and should not be applied to a diaper rash, due to the increased risk of side effects. Young children are more likely to absorb a dangerously high amount of the medication, especially when applied to broken skin, like a diaper rash, and especially when the area is covered, such as by a diaper.

Are There Off-Label Cordran SP Cream Uses?

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend this product for something other than the treatment of itching and inflammation of the skin in adults. At this time, there are no universally accepted off-label uses for Cordran SP Cream, except for its use in children.
