This prescription medicine comes as a cream, a lotion, or an ointment, and is applied to affected areas of the skin two or three times daily. Although most people tolerate it well, side effects are possible and can include burning, stinging, and itching of the skin.
What Is Amcinonide?Amcinonide (Cyclocort®) is a prescription skin medication. It comes in the form of an ointment, a lotion, and a cream. It belongs to a group of medications known as topical steroids and is used to treat inflammation and itching due to a wide variety of skin conditions, such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and allergic reactions.
Are There Side Effects?Just like any medicine, amcinonide may cause side effects. However, not everyone who uses the drug will experience problems. Most people tolerate it quite well. If reactions do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
