By suppressing the immune system and reducing inflammation, Lidex® (fluocinonide) emollient cream can help treat skin conditions like dermatitis, psoriasis, and eczema. This prescription medication is applied in a thin layer on the affected areas of the skin two to four times daily.
Lidex emollient cream, or Lidex-E, comes in one strength (0.05%). Your dose will be based on the type and severity of the skin condition being treated. It is not usually recommended to use this medicine for long periods of time, as it may lead to serious problems.
Skin irritation, dryness, and burning are some of the possible side effects of this medicine. Lidex-E may not be suitable for people who are taking certain medications or who have certain allergies. Also, it is important to tell your healthcare provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before starting treatment with this medicine.
