Hydrogen Proxide

Were you looking for information about Hydrogen Peroxide? Hydrogen proxide is a common misspelling of hydrogen peroxide.

Hydrogen peroxide is a substance that many people keep around the house; it has long been used as a wound cleanser, mouthwash, and earwax softener. However, some of its uses are more legitimate than others. For example, more recent -- and more questionable -- uses recommended in some alternative health circles have included the treatment of Alzheimer's disease, bronchitis, HIV, and cancer.

When used appropriately, hydrogen peroxide is probably safe in most situations. However, taking it inappropriately, such as using an "industrial" strength or taking any strength by mouth, IV, or other routes -- may be more likely to cause significant problems.
