Hydrogen Peroxide Cancer Treatment
Many people are familiar with the traditional uses of hydrogen peroxide, such as cleaning wounds, helping with earwax removal, and whitening teeth. However, some alternative healthcare providers claim that taking this product internally has been successful in treating more serious medical conditions, such as HIV, type 2 diabetes, or Alzheimer's disease. Some claim that even cancer can be treated with hydrogen peroxide.
Proponents of hydrogen peroxide for treating cancer believe that it works in various ways, such as by stimulating enzyme systems throughout the body and providing oxygen to the body. However, according to Dr. Steven Galson of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), "No one has presented any evidence that hydrogen peroxide taken internally has any medical value."
In addition, taking hydrogen peroxide internally puts you at risk of stomach bleeding, colon rupture, and other serious problems.
