Fluticasone Propionate Cream
Fluticasone propionate cream is approved for the treatment of a variety of skin conditions, including dermatitis, psoriasis, and eczema. This medicated skin product is a type of steroid, and it works by reducing inflammation and suppressing an overactive immune system. The cream is applied on the affected areas once or twice daily. Potential side effects include skin dryness, itching, or burning.
Fluticasone propionate cream (Cutivate Cream®) is a prescription skin medication. It is a topical steroid that is used to treat a wide variety of skin conditions, such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and allergic reactions. It is approved for use in adults and children as young as three months old.

Just like any medicine, fluticasone propionate cream may cause side effects. However, not everyone who uses the drug will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well.
If reactions do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
Common side effects of fluticasone propionate cream include but are not limited to:
- Skin irritation
- Spider veins
- Itching
- Dryness
- Burning.
