Fluticasone Cream
People who have certain skin conditions, such as dermatitis, eczema, or psoriasis, may benefit from fluticasone propionate cream (Cutivate Cream®). This steroid works to relieve symptoms associated with these skin problems (such as itching) by reducing inflammation and suppressing an overactive immune system.
The typical starting dose of fluticasone propionate cream is to apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected areas of the skin once or twice daily. Possible side effects may include skin irritation, burning, and stinging.
Before using fluticasone propionate cream, make sure your healthcare provider is aware of any other medications, vitamins, or supplements you are taking. Also, make sure he or she knows if you have any allergies or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
