Pediatric and Off-Label Indications for Flurandrenolide Lotion

Can Children Use Flurandrenolide Lotion?

Flurandrenolide lotion is not specifically approved for use in children. In addition, this drug is not approved to treat a diaper rash and should never be applied to the diaper area, as doing so can increase the risk for side effects. Children are at an increased risk for serious side effects of steroids, especially if the medication is kept covered (such as by a diaper).

Is It Used Off-Label?

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend medications for something other than the approved uses. At this time, there are no universally accepted off-label uses for flurandrenolide lotion, except for use in children.
