Applying Elidel^® (pimecrolimus) on the affected areas of the skin twice daily can help relieve mild-to-moderate atopic dermatitis. This medicine comes as a cream and is available in only one strength: Elidel 1% cream. There are, however, several sizes of this product available, including 30-gram, 60-gram, and 100-gram tubes.

The Elidel dosage is the same for everyone -- apply a thin layer of the cream on the affected areas twice a day. Side effects may include coughing, headaches, and burning at the application site.
