Desonate 0.05%
Desonate® (desonide gel) is a prescription skin medication used to treat atopic dermatitis. It is a topical steroid that is applied to the skin twice a day. The medicine comes in the form of gel and is sold in one strength: 0.05%. Desonate should not be used for longer than four weeks, as this increases the risk of serious side effects.
Most people are able to use Desonate without any problems, but adverse reactions are possible. The most common ones include a rash, itching, and burning at the application site.
