Dermatop Emollient Cream
People who have certain inflammatory skin conditions, such as psoriasis, eczema, or seborrhea, may be prescribed Dermatop® (prednicarbate). Available as both an emollient cream and an ointment, this medication is applied to the affected area(s) of the skin twice daily for as short a time as possible.
Both ointment and emollient cream forms of Dermatop should be applied sparingly -- more is not necessarily better. In addition, do not apply a bandage or other dressing to the medication unless your healthcare provider recommends, as this increases the risk of side effects.
