Drug Interactions With Dacarbazine

There are a number of products that may cause drug interactions when used in combination with dacarbazine. For example, if this chemotherapy medicine is used with certain vaccines, biologic medications, or echinacea, it may increase your risk for kidney damage, low blood pressure, or other potentially serious complications. To avoid these and other potential problems, give your healthcare provider a current list of all products you are taking.

An Overview of Dacarbazine Interactions

Dacarbazine (DTIC-Dome®) may interact with a number of other medications. Some of the drugs that may react with dacarbazine include but are not limited to:
 
  • Amphotericin B (Abelcet®, AmBisome®, Amphotec®)
  • Certain biologic and immunologic medications, such as:
     
 
 
  • CYP 1A2 inhibitor medications, such as:
     
 
  • Disulfiram (Antabuse®)
  • Echinacea
  • Isoniazid
  • "Live" vaccinations, such as:
