  • Allergic to clemastine fumarate, Tavist, Dayhist, or any inactive components used to make the medications. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
     
  • Breastfeeding (see Clemastine and Breastfeeding), although some sources consider occasional doses of clemastine to be compatible with breastfeeding.
