Do I Take Drugs That React With Calcipotriene?

Lithium
Both calcipotriene and lithium can increase the risk of high levels of calcium in the blood. While this is not expected to be a problem when calcipotriene is used appropriately and as recommended, you may still want to check with your healthcare provider before combining these medications.

Thiazide Diuretics
Both calcipotriene and thiazide can increase the risk of high levels of calcium in the blood. While this is not expected to be a problem when calcipotriene is used appropriately and as recommended, you may still want to check with your healthcare provider before combining these medications.

Vitamin D
Calcipotriene is a synthetic form of vitamin D. Taking too much may cause high levels of calcium in the blood (known medically as hypercalcemia). Taking vitamin D supplements could worsen this problem. However, when calcipotriene is used appropriately, a normal dosage of a vitamin D supplement is unlikely to cause problems.
