What If I Take a Calcipotriene Overdose?

Applying too much calcipotriene may lead to high levels of calcium in the blood (known medically as hypercalcemia), a condition that can be dangerous.

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose of Calcipotriene?

If you forget to take a dose of calcipotriene, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, simply skip the one you missed and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.

Storage Information

Calcipotriene should be stored at room temperature away from direct sunlight. Keep this and all medications out of the reach of children and pets.

Is There a Generic Version of Calcipotriene?

Currently, the liquid, ointment, and cream are available in generic form (see Generic Dovonex for more information). Calcipotriene foam is not available in generic form (see Generic Sorilux).
