Products That Interfere With Calcipotriene/Betamethasone Dipropionate

Calcium
Calcipotriene/betamethasone dipropionate contains a synthetic form of vitamin D. Using too much calcipotriene/betamethasone dipropionate may cause high levels of calcium in the blood a condition (known as hypercalcemia). Taking calcium could worsen this problem.

For people using calcipotriene/betamethasone dipropionate appropriately, a normal dosage of a calcium supplement is unlikely to cause problems.

Corticorelin
Corticosteroids, including calcipotriene/betamethasone dipropionate, may make corticorelin less effective. Corticorelin is used as a diagnostic agent in tests for Cushing's syndrome or other similar problems. If you are being tested for Cushing's disease, make sure your healthcare provider knows you have been using calcipotriene/betamethasone dipropionate.

Lithium
Both calcipotriene/betamethasone dipropionate and lithium can increase the risk of high levels of calcium in the blood. While this is likely not a problem with normal usage of calcipotriene/betamethasone dipropionate, you may still want to check with your healthcare provider before combining these medications.

Thiazide Diuretics

While this is likely not a problem with normal usage of calcipotriene/betamethasone dipropionate, you may still want to check with your healthcare provider before combining these medications.
