Brimonidine Gel

Available by prescription only, brimonidine gel is applied on the face once daily to help reduce redness caused by rosacea. This medication works by constricting the blood vessels, which immediately diminishes the redness. Although many people tolerate the medicine well, side effects are possible and include flushing and a burning sensation.
