Betamethasone Valerate Foam
Betamethasone valerate foam is a topical steroid used to treat certain scalp conditions. For example, it may be recommended if you have scalp psoriasis or seborrhea. It is generally used twice a day; the foam should be massaged into the scalp, and then the scalp should be allowed to dry naturally.
Betamethasone valerate foam (Luxiq®) is a prescription skin medication. It belongs to a group of drugs known as topical steroids. Betamethasone valerate foam is approved to treat various conditions of the scalp, such as scalp psoriasis or seborrhea.

Just like any medicine, betamethasone valerate foam may cause side effects. However, not everyone who uses the drug will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well.
If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious reactions are less common.
Some of the common side effects of betamethasone valerate foam include:
- Burning sensation
