Aquaphor Drug Interactions

Aquaphor® Healing Ointment is not known to interact with other medications. In fact, it is often chosen by pharmacists and doctors as a base for making other medicines. Nevertheless, if you use Aquaphor to treat a specific medical condition (such as diaper rash or eczema), mention this to your healthcare provider. Knowing what has worked (and what has not) will help him or her treat your condition.
Your healthcare provider may recommend that you apply Aquaphor over another skin medication. Be sure not to get the order backwards, as applying Aquaphor first can decrease the effectiveness of other medications, since it works as a barrier.
If your healthcare provider recommends that you try another treatment, be sure to ask if you should continue to use Aquaphor.
