Amcinonide Cream
People who have certain inflammatory skin conditions, such as dermatitis, psoriasis, or eczema, may benefit from amcinonide (Cyclocort®). Available as a lotion, an ointment, or a cream, amcinonide is a type of steroid and works by reducing inflammation and suppressing an overactive immune system.
The dosage of amcinonide cream, lotion, or ointment will depend on the type and severity of the skin condition being treated. In general, a thin layer is applied to the affected areas of the skin two to three times daily. Possible side effects may include skin burning, itching, and dryness.
