Side Effects of AltabaxJust like any medicine, Altabax may cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious reactions are less common.

Drug InteractionsAltabax is unlikely to interact with other medications (see Altabax Drug Interactions).
What Should I Tell My Healthcare Provider?Prior to taking Altabax, tell your healthcare provider if you:
- Have any allergies, including to medications, foods, dyes, or preservatives
- Are pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant (see Altabax and Pregnancy)
- Are breastfeeding (see Altabax and Breastfeeding).
Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about any other medications you are taking, including prescription and nonprescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
